Cross contamination is a real danger in any cleaning operation. The danger lies in bacteria and germs being transferred via cleaning cloths and other materials between washroom areas, kitchens, dining areas, classrooms, offices and laboratories. In order to prevent this cross contamination, Julius Rutherfoord implements a strict colour coding of cleaning materials. This includes cloths, mops and buckets.
In accordance with our Health & Safety policy, each site is evaluated, with risks assessed on all areas to do with cleaning, from the use of electrical equipment, storage of materials, and fire hazards. Where inadequacies are identified a corrective action or controlling measure is identified and put in place to minimise any future risks.

Julius Rutherfoord is proud to announce a new partnership providing cleaning services to Guildford College.
This is the start of a three-year contract to clean all buildings within the Stoke Park Campus.
Following a competitive tender process Julius Rutherfoord was selected on the basis of cost and proven ability in transforming cleaning standards at their existing college premises.
As well as Guildford College Julius Rutherfoord now cleans: South Thames College, Southwark College, Lewisham College & Lambeth College.
