Julius Rutherfoord - Commercial Cleaning Services - 020 7819 6700
We were on the 'green' bandwagon before it became a bandwagon.

/The environment/

We've been managing our footprint since 1994, the same year we were founded.

Accredited by NQA to International standards ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Our approach in managing our contracts is designed to limit the environmental impact of our Cleaning services through the use of energy efficient techniques which include:

The introduction of Green Cleaning solutions and Microfibre cloths to reduce usage of chemicals and increase efficiency of cleaning operations.

We use a centralised distribution centre for the supply of consumables and materials, to reduce energy and improve control of all products reaching the sites we clean.

Transforming our fleet of vehicles over the past 6 years. 90% of our fleet uses either Hybrid or Dual Fuel technology. This means lower emissions.

We only supply consumables that come from sustainable sources or which are recycled, are not bleached and have formal accreditation.

We have helped all our clients by increasing the number of recycling bins within the premises we clean. We have a system which allows us to recycle the following products: White paper, coloured paper, cardboard, newspapers, magazines, glass bottles & jars, plastic bottles and metal cans.

The process involves using a single recycling waste bag, which can be put out with the rubbish any day of the week and results in 80% recycling rates.

Please call us and we'll come and see how we can exceed your cleaning expectations 020 7819 6700

Consumables: An Informed Choice

There is little point in us reducing energy output if we are then supplying consumables that come from unsustainable sources, are bleached or are not recycled.

In drawing up our Consumables list we have tried to reach a balance between Quality, the Environment and Price.

We will not supply materials or consumables without one of the following accreditations:

Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association, Over the course of the last few years the practice has evolved within the soft tissue market of supplying products in unmarked packs in a very price competitive environment. This has allowed some suppliers to give very cheap prices for products which are not what they say they are. CHSA has taken the initiative to rid the marketplace of these products. The Forest Stewardship Council. The goal of FSC is to promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests, by establishing a worldwide standard of recognized and respected Principles of Forest Stewardship. Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development, the 301F test ensures that all ingredients of a non mineral basis are fully degradable. For more information please see www.oecd.org
