Window Cleaning
Risk Assessments are undertaken prior to any window cleaning being undertaken. All areas will be cleaned safely to prevent any possible breaches of Health & Safety law. Cleaning windows can be done through cradle access, abseiling, using eyebolts and harnesses or using the reach and wash poles.
To undertake window cleaning we use specialist sub contractors who have been with Julius Rutherfoord for 8 years.
Computer & telephone cleaning
Using a dedicated cleaning team we clean computers using the following procedure:
All cleaning chemicals used have been specifically designed for use in cleaning hi-tech equipment and have anti-static properties.
The VDU screen will be cleaned with a screen cleaner to remove dirt, grease and finger marks.
A brush and anti-static foam cleaner will be used for in-depth cleaning of all external casing areas that are not seen at the operators eye level (i.e. the rear of the machine or underneath the VDU) to remove all stains and dust build up.
The keyboard will be carefully cleaned to remove debris trapped between keys.
The memory unit will be cleaned to remove dust, scuff marks and any debris trapped in the induction-cooling fan.
Hard Floor Maintenance
Properly cleaned hard floors make a huge difference to the appearance of any room. As we clean over 3 million square feet of education premises on a daily basis we have a huge expertise in cleaning and maintaining hard floors.
The cleaning of schools are especially challenging due to the heavy use they get. When we clean and maintain hard floors properly it helps to ensure their long lifetime. We clean terrazzo; vinyl; non-slip; module; wood block; marble; limestone;
Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
Whether using dry cleaning techniques or steam cleaning we are confident that we will get the best results. All our Managers have undergone specialist training in cleaning upholstery and carpets. They are trained by and only use Prochem cleaning equipment and materials for steam cleaning and Milliken/Host products for dry cleaning.
Blind & Curtain Cleaning
Some cleaning of these items can safely be undertaken in situ, and we can quote for this
If we have as to whether we can clean these ourselves we will arrange specialist companies to undertake the cleaning of these items. This may range from Ultrasonic cleaning for Venetian Blinds, to specialist curtain removal, cleaning and re-hanging.
Washroom Services, Sanibins, air fresheners, dispensers
As part of our total “cleaning covered” service we will take the supply and management of these services out of your hands. As our operatives are cleaning the washrooms each day we can monitor these items and take proactive measures in event of fault or damage.
Laundry
Whether it is the cleaning of a few tea towels a week, or the full service cleaning hand towels, bath sheets, bed linen, (see company flat cleans), tablecloths, napkins. We are happy to quote for the cleaning of these items.
Dust Mats
Dust mats can help to enhance the entrance to your building, they also help to keep the building clean, especially in wet weather when they can prevent a huge amount of dirt being carried into services.
We are happy to sell you dust mats which we can clean in situ or supply a full service where dust mats are swapped over on a regular basis, with the dirty mats being taken a way and cleaned.
Recycling & Waste Management
We use specialist waste collection companies to take away general waste using a pre-paid waste bag scheme. They also provide pre paid recycling bags so you can separate out waste and know you are doing your bit to ensure maximum recycling.
Consumables
We can supply all your washroom and kitchen requirements, (toilet paper, soaps, hand towels, dishwasher products etc. Our cleaners are trained to monitor stock levels and order new supplies in good time to ensure you do not run out. When a delivery is made a delivery note will be left so you are able to check delivery levels.
Deep Cleaning
Whether this is pre tenancy cleans, high level cleans, post builders cleans or even post party cleans we will meet your changing cleaning needs. We seek to be entirely flexible
Cleaning of Company Flats
To make your life easier we can undertake this cleaning in conjunction with cleaning of your offices. We can do once weekly to five day a week cleans and include bed changing, laundry and any other cleaning services you may require.

Julius Rutherfoord is proud to announce a new partnership providing cleaning services to Guildford College.
This is the start of a three-year contract to clean all buildings within the Stoke Park Campus.
Following a competitive tender process Julius Rutherfoord was selected on the basis of cost and proven ability in transforming cleaning standards at their existing college premises.
As well as Guildford College Julius Rutherfoord now cleans: South Thames College, Southwark College, Lewisham College & Lambeth College.
