Julius Rutherfoord cleans at Kew Palace
Kew Palace, located within the grounds of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is the latest addition to the Julius Rutherfoord portfolio of significant historical buildings that we clean in London.
Operated by Historic Royal Palaces, public admission to Kew Palace was recently incorporated into the admission fee for Kew Gardens. As such, visitor numbers have since increased more than ten-fold. This vast increase in footfall poses significant challenges in keeping the site clean and in order.
Working in conjunction with on-site conservationists, Julius Rutherfoord’s contract cleaners help to maintain the fabric of the building, its antique furniture and artefacts. Cleaning occurs daily each morning prior to the Palace opening to the public.
In addition to the Palace, Julius Rutherfoord have also been appointed to clean the adjacent Royal Kitchen and Queen Charlotte’s Cottage – situated elsewhere within the Gardens. All three sites are open to the public 7 days a week for 6 months of the year.
Historic Royal Palaces, the company that operates Kew Palace, also manage 4 other iconic historical royal London sites: the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House and Kensington Palace.
