New contract win at City University London
Julius Rutherfoord originally quoted to clean City University London in 2009, when we came a close second behind the incumbent cleaning contractor.
In 2014 the opportunity to clean City University London again presented itself. We successfully passed the pre-qualification process and were invited to once again tender. On this occasion, we are very proud to announce that Julius Rutherfoord have, through a highly competitive tender process, been awarded the university’s cleaning contract.
City University London is comprised of 22 buildings, located across three campuses in central London and represents Julius Rutherfoord’s largest contract win:
- Cass Business School
- The Grays Inn Law School
- Northampton Square
Julius Rutherfoord was able to propose a number of innovations in the cleaning delivery for the university, as well as demonstrating flexibility and experience of maintaining high standards of cleanliness for other large educational establishments in the midst of extensive building works. This experience provided the client with the confidence that we can deliver throughout City University’s own 4-year redevelopment programme.
In addition to this, Julius Rutherfoord was able to fulfil the university’s ambition to transfer early morning cleaning to night cleaning, and to offer all cleaners the London Living Wage.
The Julius Rutherfoord cleaning team will comprise of both TUPE transferred contract cleaning staff, as well as previously directly employed City University London cleaning staff, who have been warmly welcomed into the Julius Rutherfoord team.
The cleaning contract will commence on 1st August 2014.
