New contract to clean brand new City Heights Academy building
City Heights Academy, a brand new academy school, opened its doors for the first time in 2013 with an initial intake of just 110 year 7 students. Due to having just one years’ worth of students, the school operated out of temporary premises for the first year whilst a brand-new, purpose built school building was being constructed.
In September of 2014, the school will move into these new premises in Lambeth, South London, and it is this new building that Julius Rutherfoord has been appointed to clean.
The new City Heights Academy building is ultra-modern, with a café, theatre, sports centre and dance studios. Each year, as the school receives and additional intake of students, the scale of the cleaning requirement will increase accordingly until, in 2019, the school will reach its full capacity of 1,100 students, ranging from ages 11 – 18.
In 2014, Julius Rutherfoord will operate at 50% of total cleaning capacity as the school will only be half occupied. The cleaning delivery will then be increased over the following two years to 75% in 2015 and finally 100% in 2016 to meet the rising demands of the school.
